Grassroots Ecology manages habitat restoration projects across the Silicon Valley area. Our aim is to restore natural functions to the ecosystem. We do this by keeping invasive plants in check, growing locally native plants at our nursery, supporting stream restoration and fish passage projects, and planting a diversity of species in order to feed wildlife

Because restoration is a long-term process, we commit to our restoration sites over multiple years. This allows us to evaluate our impact on the landscape and respond to new challenges as they arise. Members of the community have the opportunity to connect to and support a specific project over time.

We could not do this work without the help of our many enthusiastic volunteers. Please join us at one of our restoration sites to see the difference you can make!
